Bergdorf Goodman Windows

Wishing you the happiest of holidays and hoping the season finds you surrounded by joy and merriment wherever you may be.  Admiring the spectacular windows at Bergdorf Goodman has become a holiday tradition for many, and so in keeping with that tradition {remember last year?}, here are a few of my favorite scenes from this year’s theme Holiday on Ice.  Do you see anything on your wish list?  I do.

Grand Central Terminal, NYC

The last stop of the Flat Stanley tour of New York is the ever-bustling Grand Central Station.  Currently celebrating its 100th birthday, Grand Central is a testament to the importance of protecting our nation’s beautiful monuments.  We happened upon Nick Cave’s colorful horses hanging out in Vanderbilt Hall.  Art and architecture infused into everyday life is one of the many reasons why I miss living in New York.

Last weekend, with the recent snowfall barely melted and the lingering winter chill, we dashed off to New York for the quickest of visits.  Coincidentally {and rather amusingly}, a friend’s daughter asked us to help with her Flat Stanley project and we took the opportunity to test out the new camera at a few of New York’s famous landmarks.  First up: Central Park, and despite its barren tree branches, still possessed a quiet sparkle with the undeniable whisper of warm days ahead.
