We spent a recent weekend in picturesque Vancouver visiting some of our favorite haunts while making a few new discoveries on the restaurant front. It was a perfect day for a drive and a walk around the beautiful sea wall as the sail boats bobbed in the water, perhaps preparing for a final summer sail along the harbor.

We checked into one of our favorite boutique hotels of late, Loden, where we can always find a relaxed atmosphere, modern decor, and serenity within a short walk from the shops and our favorite Japanese restaurant Miku.

Every time I visit the Cross, I get the urge to redecorate my home. The shop is full of inspiration and carries a well-edited collection of chic furnishings, tabletop items, decor accessories, candles, frames, and so much more. A major end of summer sale was going on, so I scored an Oly side table as well as a floor lamp by Arteriors.

Delicious places where we ate: {1-2} Afternoon tea at Urban Tea Merchant; {3-4} scrumptious Indian cuisine at Vij’s Rangoli; {5-10} phenomenal Japanese izakaya at Kingyo with {6} Kobe beef searing on hot stone, {7} frozen grapes to end the meal, {8} frozen green tea brûlée, {9} tastiest tan tan noodles, which we dug into before the photo; and {11} a favorite ramen house.

As we left town with our bellies full and spirits rejuvenated, we passed by this friendly display waving hello and goodbye, as if sending us off and telling us to remember to return soon. That, I guarantee, is something we will most certainly do.
