It is springtime in NYC and we spent a wonderful few days wandering our favorite neighborhoods, strolling in the parks, and catching up with friends and family.  Playing tourist in a city you call home is especially delightful with a nine month old in tow ~ seeing everything anew, eyes rarely blinking, discovery after discovery of all that is enchanting about the island of Manhattan.

The High Line park was perfectly lush and well-designed with pockets of space for crawling {testing depth perception} and taking in views.

A glorious day for a stroll through Central Park … where Maya attempted a taste test of park dirt, leaves, bark, and a tree branch or two.

We caught the tail end of Easter floral decorations at Rockefeller Center and the final week of the ice skating rink.

As the afternoon approached dusk, we happened upon an impromptu piano concert under the marble arch in Washington Square park.  Only in New York … Happy Monday and incredibly already the last day of April!
